There have been times when I forgot to say thank you for all the special, little things you do. At times, I've made you believe that you've failed as a mother....don't deny it. I know because you've said it. I've got into a millions of arguments with you. Said things I shouldn't have said to you. I know, I've done some horrible things and broke your trust. I want you to know that I'm genuinely sorry for all of those times. You've not failed, mom. I can say that because I am your daughter. I've seen you go out of your way to make sure I get everything I want. I've seen you sacrifice your happiness for mine. I've seen you hurting every time I cry.
I want you to know how thankful I am for everything that you've done for me. Staying up all night whenever I was sick. Celebrating every little achievement of mine. From teaching me how to walk to taking a stand for me. Thank you for giving birth to me. Thank you for making my life so beautiful. I can't express my gratitude in words.
You've always had my back. You always kept going, even when you were stressed and tired, so that I didn't lose hope. You think I don't notice all of your hard work and efforts but I do. And I want you to know that even though we fight and don't talk for days but in the end I love you. I love you so much!
You are one of the strongest women I know. All these years you've kept your emotions locked up in a box so that your children don't get disturbed. But I want you to know that I'm not a child anymore. I'm going to be there for you each and every time, just like you have been there for me. Its my turn to be your shoulder to cry on and to tell you that its going to be fine. I might've not been the perfect daughter, but you have always been and you'll always be the perfect mother.
Happy Mother's Day to my teacher, doctor, problem solver, partner in crime, shopping buddy, chef, cheerleader, best friend. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO MY MOM.
