F.R.I.E.N.D.S is back after 15 years and nine months. The full cast of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry will be reuniting for an unscripted special in May 2020.
The reunion of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S cast was confirmed in February 2020 as the actors shared a photo that was used for their 1995 Rolling Stone cover.
The special will be filmed at Warner Bros. Studios Stage 24 in Burbank, California, which is where the original series was shooted.
The unscripted special was originally going to be available at the launch of HBO Max, a new streaming service, in May 2020.
But due to production being halted because of the coronavirus, the release date is reportedly unknown. Then stars also gave conflicting information about filming the special.
According to TV Guide, Matt LeBlanc told Kelly Clarkson that the cast already filmed. That episode of Clarkson's talk show was filmed in February and released in April. And in mid-march Courteney Cox told Jimmy Kimmel thatthey were supposed to film over the course of two days that month, but it got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The F.R.I.E.N.D.S cast invited the fans on their respective Instagram pages to help raise money for America’s Food Fund for a chance to hang out with them. They are offering six tickets to the taping of their upcoming HBO Max reunion special. Winners will also get to sip coffee with the cast at “Central Perk” as part of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour.
This is a part of the All In Challenge which has gathered celebrities, athletes and sports leagues to raise funds for those in need including the elderly, kids and frontline heroes.
